With the launch of the inaugural Call of Duty League (CDL) set to begin on January 24th, Activision Blizzard has released an updated ruleset a week prior to Launch Weekend.

Changes To Competitive Ruleset Announced for 2020 Call of Duty League

With just over a week to go until the first event of the 2020 CDL, a new ruleset complete with weapon restrictions and maps being removed from the map pool has been announced.

Both amateur and professional teams have been hard at work practicing ahead of the first event of the season. Now a new set of rules has been introduced, it may well have disrupted practice for a lot of teams and players.

The notable change is the removal of several maps across all three competitive game modes. Rammaza has been removed from the Hardpoint map pool, Azhir Cave and Hackney Yard have been removed from the Search & Destroy map pool and St. Petrograd has been removed from Domination.

In addition to the maps, certain weapons, perks and attachments have also been restricted for competitive play. The Kar98k marksman and the FAL Assault Rifle are among several pieces of weaponry and equipment that has been given the chop.
