Unfortunately, the biggest fans of the franchise will surely have noticed that this trailer didn't tell us much about the game. Even though Animal Crossing New Horizons won't be released on Switch until March 2020, it's true that this gameplay trailer can leave you perplexed. And for good reason, everything that has been shown could already have been guessed from the first teaser and the 20 minutes of gameplay in E3.
But for those of you who haven't seen any of that yet, here's what we're learning!
Tom Nook wants to show us a video presentation of the paradise island where we landed.
Welcome to the island
It must be said that we arrived on the island by seaplane. A bigger island, or a mainland city should therefore not be very far and we could perhaps use this plane again later in the game (theory).
Anyway, here we are with a Survivor Pack and our tent. Plant it wherever you want on the island. You can then decorate it inside AND outside. The freedom is total.
It's possible to pick up absolutely everything you find on the island (weeds, fruits, shells, branches, rocks...) in order to craft furniture and tools.
At some point in the trailer, you can see that the holes in the ground are back. You know those little star-shaped crevices that indicate the presence of fossils! In the same way, the magic rock full of Bells also seems to be back in the game.
News
- It's now possible to dig up a tree completely (even with its fruit) and plant it back where you want.
- You can pick flowers and make a wreath for your character or decorate your door.
- Use a pole to jump from one side of the river to the other
In Tom Nook's shop, you can of course sell anything to Timmy and Tommy in order to collect some bells and... pay back your loan! In addition to the bells, you can earn Nook Miles by completing quests.
The weather is also back, as are the seasons, allowing you to immerse yourself in this paradise life.
Play with 7 other people
In Animal Crossing New Horizons, it's possible to welcome 7 other people on your island and play all at the same time! You can even take great pictures.
