Despite the Easy Anti-Cheat — the system used in Apex Legends — cheaters are still present in-game. Respawn is expected to set up a much more suitable monitoring and reporting system. Platinum players and above are beginning to feel the impact of cheaters on their games.

Reports aren't the best way to deal with cheaters. It's possible to submit the cheater's nickname to the developers via Twitter, but they aren't necessarily all read. No serious consequences are present at the moment, so the players using aimbot are just getting bigger every day.

How do you recognize a cheater?

Very generally, they move like a bot and hardly miss their bullets. They can know your position while they aren't supposed to (except Bloodhound). Tracking, aimbot and wallhack systems are starting to become commonplace in Respawn's battle royale.
