The European Masters will finally take place. In the middle of a period of containment, Riot Games has announced the return of its inter-regional competition, from April 6 to May 10. While the last round of the LFL playoffs is still suspended due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the statement does not specify whether the EU Masters 2020 will take place online or on stage.
Regarding the tournament schedule, the qualifications will run from April 6 to 9, followed by the group phase from April 22 to May 2, broadcast for the first time by Riot Games and the LEC broadcast in Berlin. The pools and the final tournament tree will be broadcast on the EU Masters channel on the following dates:
- Quarter-finals from May 4 to 5
- Semi-finals on May 9
- Final May 10
Since 2018, the European Masters tournament represents the "Champion's League" of the regional leagues of League of Legends. Last spring, the Misfits Premier team won the tournament, offering the first trophy to the French league in the history of the competition.
