Animal Crossing: New Horizons: DLC planned but delayed due to coronavirus

It"s undeniable that Animal Crossing New Horizons is a game that is played over the very long term, ie 1 year minimum lifespan if we follow all the seasons in real time. In addition, craft and terraforming come to bring a longer playability. However, to counter people who advance in time, the addition of DLC was planned to channel players too impatient. Aya Kyogoku even supports this detail at the American site Washington post.

Adding downloadable events according to the seasons was not a way to keep players who accelerate time via their console at bay: Animal Crossing is simply a game that can be enjoyed all year round.

However, it's complicated to imagine the arrival of a DLC because of the coronavirus pandemic which affects all sectors of activity. Confinement does not allow employees to work at a normal pace, which would delay the next DLC and the entire planned schedule of content additions and small event in Animal Crossing. Aya Kyogoku announces herself that her team will have to be flexible for the next outings in the game. However, do not panic, it does not cancel the Easter event which will take place on April 1st!
