T1 finally has a full roster of five players in Valorant after the announcement of a returner, Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham. He joins brax, AZK, crashies and food. This last recruitment shows how much T1 wants to invest in Riot Games' FPS.
Skadoodle is well known on the CS:GO scene — as are all his teammates — as he was part of the prestigious Cloud9 team and winning the first major in North America, the ELEAGUE Boston 2018. After retiring in 2018, he became a streamer and of course he has tried Valorant during his beta phase while competing in a few tournaments.
The South Korean organisation was one of the first to invest in Valorant, a rather surprising choice, since it previously had no section dedicated to FPS games. The bet paid off because the team is already winning most of the tournaments organized in recent months such as the 100 Thieves Invitational, the T1 Invitational or the Code Green Invitational.
Knowing that Riot Games wants to develop esport fairly quickly on its new game, T1 is in a good position and it's very likely that its roster will quickly rise among the best teams in the world. They will also compete during the Twitch Rivals tournament this weekend, organized for the release of the game.
