Riot Games wants to build the competitive scene around its new FPS, Valorant, quite quickly. This initiative allows to organize many tournaments every week thanks to the Valorant Ignition Series.
The latest one, organized by the French organization Vitality, was won in a masterful way by the roster of G2 Esports, led by the talented Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas.
With all these tournaments, we get a fairly solid database that allows us to rank the best players of Valorant to date. At least that's what VLR.gg did.
As expected, we find former CS:GO players like TenZ, mixwell and ScreaM — who have already proven their full range of talent on Valve's FPS. We also see some unstructured players who could find one quite easily thanks to their results.
Nevertheless, the rankings are often described as not very objective since the criteria on which they're based aren't always very clear. These statistics are therefore used as indicators and have no real impact.
We can still wonder if TenZ will ever fall from his throne as he's a star at each and every tournament he plays in!
