The PS5 conference was about to end when a small 'one more thing' teasing timidly showed. The veil finally falls and the titan shows up: God of War Ragnarok.
The teasing was very short again, but enough to thrill players with the announcement of the game's very approximate release date: 2021. "Ragnarök Is Coming" are the only words that can give us the chip in our ears.
To give a little more context, in Nordic mythology, Ragnarök is an allegory of the end of the world. During this winter period of calamity, the gods Odin, Thor, Freyr, Heimdall and Loki will lose their lives. It's a very significant event of the Viking period and it would not be impossible to have an opus even more adult and much darker than the old ones according to the only words announced during this teasing. Even if Ragnarök can refer to the winter that lasted for 3 years during this series of disastrous events, this is not "Winter is coming" from Games of Thrones... Nevertheless, we salute the wink which happens to be very bold.
We still have too little information to provide a detailed analysis, but it's very likely that there will be a possible exclusivity or preview on the Playstation 5, and it will probably take a few weeks or even months to get more detailed information.
