Apex Legends banned 419 players before Season 7

Hundreds of Apex Legends players took advantage of a bug that allowed them to play competitive games with bronze players. Respawn has taken action by banning them.

Apex Legends banned 419 players before Season 7

A virtually unknown bug has been affecting Apex Legends for the last few months with a particularly hard impact on competitive games. Far from being related to the gameplay, it allowed players to join queues with lower-ranked friends and ignore any restrictions. This was used to climb the ladder in a much easier way.

Although it seems that the bug is still active, Respawn seems to have put an end to the abuse. Over four hundred players who were using this glitch are now banned. All of them were Diamond+ ranked.

At the moment, it seems that Respawn has only taken measures to sanction these players. The bug seems to be still in-game and badly intentioned people who know how to use it can still try... At leat, now they're aware of the penalties incurred.

Apex Legends Season 7 is now available, bringing to the battle royale new legend, map and features. Unfortunately, these 419 players won't be able to take advantage of it... Too bad for them!
