Patch 5.55 was released a few weeks ago in Final Fantasy XIV and introduced the last step of the Shadowbringer relic weapons, the strongest weapons in the game. The Resplendent tools were also introduced along the end of the Main Story Quests.
As explained during one of the Live Letters, Patch 5.56 will be skipped in name as this time we’ll directly go to Patch 5.7.
Patch 5.7 and 5.8 have been announced as small patches that will not add more to the transition to the Endwalker story planned for November 23 (November 19 if you pre-ordered the game).
FFXIV Patch 5.7 Maintenance Downtime Schedule
To introduce Patch 5.7 all servers will go down for maintenance for a few hours on June 21 to June 22. The maintenance should last for around four hours and will start at this time:
- PDT: From June 21 at 10pm to June 22 at 3am
- BST: On June 22 from 7am to 11am
- Paris Time: On June 22 from 8am to 12pm
For the duration of the maintenance the Lodestone and the COMPANION App will also be unavailable.
Square Enix has yet to announce anything about the patch’s content but players sure are waiting for some adjustments or additions.
We already know that the Data Center travel is coming before Endwalker’s release and while it might be available next week, Yoshi-P could be using this patch to prepare the system a little more.
Many players that completed a Shadowbringers relic or are on their way are asking for changes on the drop rates too. The Artifact step is aking for 15 items that drop one by one in Delubrum Reginae and can be very frustrating. The Bozjan Southern Front and Zadnor took the spotlights too as the notes are quite infamous for their low drop rate.
While we’ll have to wait just a little more to see what Square Enix has in stock for us these could be some ideas of what’s coming. Who knows, we might as well be able to purchase the Diamond Gwiber for 99 tokens too?
