LoL: Issues with the new Tryndamere skin could work against him in the long-run

Tryndamere has been without a new League of Legends skin for more than 500 days, but that's about to change with the new Dawnbringer & Nightbringer event. However, not everything is good about this new cosmetic.

In the preview for the skins, we can see something peculiar: the character's ultimate is more visible than usual. There's a new timer on display, letting everyone know when it is about to end.

This could interfere with activation and decisions surrounding use of the ult, which is not necessarily a good thing for Tryndamere mains.

At the moment, all character skins have a glow that indicates when the ability is activated and when its effect ends. However, everything seems to indicate that the skin department had a chat with the balance department, adding a feature that makes the skin "pay to lose," according to the community.

Moments after user Amsalpotkeh hit Reddit with the observation, others pointed out that there is a chance that all Tryndamere skins will receive this ult timer counter. Something similar happened with Graves and his Sentinel skin, which improved the use of one of his most important abilities.

At the moment, there are no official comments from Riot, and this change is just on the PBE. However, players are understandably worried this will make its way to the live server.

The Duskbringer skin will come to the live server on September 22 with Patch 11.19.

The Vex Problem: Does League of Legends need a new graphics engine?

Vex will not quite be the champion Riot Games had in mind, and, to a large extent, that's due to the technology the game uses. It's a situation that raises an important question about the future of League of Legends.
