Hideo Kojima almost missed Arcane.
Invited to a private screening of the animated series, the creator of Metal Gear - and more recently Death Stranding - declined the invitation, before finally deciding to watch the League of Legends adaptation at home.
He then took to social media to express his admiration for the series, praising the animation and narrative.
In a show of goodwill, Riot Games sent Kojima a gigantic collector's box, filled with goodies and merch related to the series. Not a bad Christmas present!
A quick look at the Riot Games merch site is enough to show that most of the gifts aren't available for purchase - especially that Jinx-stamped beanie and slippers. We're sure those will have fans of the blue-haired psychopath green with envy.
Although these presents certainly made Kojima-san smile, he was visibly fascinated by the Powder & Vi figurine.
If this also caught your eye, it can - or at least could - be purchased for the princely sum of $375.
Unfortunately, and to nobody's surprise, the figurine is now out of stock. Lucky Kojima!
