LoL: Are the bots ruining the solo queue?

LoL: Are the bots ruining the solo queue?

Bots have always existed on Leaue of Legends, especially in Coop vs AI games. But did you know that you can also come across them in ranked? And yes, and they are not there to help you.

Queue soloing is one of the big goals for League of Legends players. The thing is not easy, especially when you start in the depths of the ladder. But this is not the most complicated point to manage. After all, being bronze is just a symbol that attests to your current level (stop saying you have a diamond rank) — and it's normal to expect to reach at least gold. What often comes up on the table when we lose a game are our mates with the eternal phrase: "It's not my fault, it's my mates'." While it's true that sometimes we're not helped with a Garen top who decides to celebrate feed day, or a jungler who out-smites an objective, you may be faced with worse: bots.

Yes, bots. Not the harmless ones you encounter in Coop vs AI, but bots you can encounter in ranked . And no, it's not a myth.

Devastating bots

If you come across one during your game, it is easily spotted. This player – or rather bot – occupies the support position with Yuumi in particular and never clings to another ally when his mate dies but systematically returns to the fountain. It does almost no damage during the game, but above all it does not pose any ward. By taking a quick look at his history on League of Graphs, we see that he only plays support, presents the same statistics in each game but above all that it is an account that has just been leveled up . 30 who just started ranked games.

These bots were notably highlighted by Youtuber Skooch. One of his viewers raised the problem with him. The bot in question had sent a message in the lobby at the start of the game stating that he was selling the account . He also explains why Yuumi is used in this scenario. It is very hard for Riot Games to spot a bot on this particular champion since he clings to his allies and is therefore dependent. It is therefore difficult to trace the activity of the player behind the champion. This situation is all the more obvious when Yuumi is banned. The bot chooses another medium and behaves exactly like the cat — staying around its ADC.

But what do the police do?

It seems absurd that Riot Games does not react faster. There is no doubt that at least half of the players in the game reported it by the end. On the bot account I found on League of Graphs, the bot in question has already played 16 ranked and has a very low win rate of 37.5% — but is still active.

It's true that these bots mainly hit the smurf tail, but well-meaning players who are really starting the rankeds for the first time in their lives can be hit. They therefore live an unpleasant gaming experience that can make them lose the desire to climb the ladder. On Reddit , the subject is topical. A player warned the community: "If you have a low ELO and someone in your champion select meets the following three criteria: they play support, they have a win rate of less than 30% and they does NOT banish a champion, he's a BOT and you have to dodge or be guaranteed to lose There's a tiny, tiny chance it's a human — but if you're low ELO and those 3 conditions are met, you better take the 3 LP and dodge rather than messing with some shitty AI."

We hope that Riot Games will become aware of the problem – if it has not already done so. We bet that you will not face this problem and that your games will not be ruined. If unfortunately you find yourself with a bot in your game, the only solution is to report it at the end of the game so that other players do not suffer the same thing.

I've been playing this game for years. Whenever I encounter these, "Things". I try and abandon. But this is true. The bots do not help at all. They do however help the other team just by standing there. This is my full experience with them.
They troll, feed, go to what ever player that the program aims towards. Does not assist. Does not properly move nor know what to do when its being attacked. Teleport on to a non safe zone when the player its locked onto also does the same.
So the conclusion is. They are just there to fill in the space so Riot team does not have to deal with any issues. The amount of players that complain about this. Is substantial enough that they want the Bots out. But we all know that Riot will not do. The coders that made the AI system really did a sub par of a job. Just another cheap contract that Riot produced for a 3rd party company.

Riot needs to do a better job for all the players who support the game and their company. Instead of going the Chinese manufacturing route. Cheap, breakable and useless. This also proves that there systems are bad and increasingly getting worse. Only concentrating on the characters and artwork. The policing of the company for the LoL community is just not up to date. If they want to fix this. They obviously need to start spending money instead of going the cheap route.
I say do better and hire a better managing staff. Instead of hiring people who are just fresh from college and have no proper portfolio, instead of just showing their school work.

Maybe they should block out players who have not done a percentage of damage to champions, turrets, and minions. Regardless of whether you just are terrible or not, it is not possible not to do a minimum percentage of damage in any game. The problem in League of Legends is that the total contribution in-game is never considered in the climb the ladder at least it should allow till a certain level. This will benefit people who genuinely have been long-time players though not so great at the game at the same robot player will remain at the bottom level since they don't do standard damage or kill any champion. So if even they do improve the bot player which can win till example silver it would be such a bad thing as that bot with good a teammate as a human player. A bot won't be able to calculate if it gives the player a bad game or not.

This has gotten worse. Most games now have a bot. You cannot dodge 2x, so it's basically impossible to play ranked now.

Just make ranked for users who have spent money on skins. If you haven't purchased anything in league you should not be allowed to play ranked. If people wanna make bot accounts let them as long as they pay riot for each account.

Sup, bot dev here. The community and Riot Games are completely powerless against botting and we know this. If they start banning bots that have a low skill level then they will hit (new) players as well (false-positives). The reports against bots do nothing because the system itself can not detect them and they can not ban legit players who get mistaken for bots by their team, that's why even lots of reports do not lead to anything.
Also, I can speak english properly and got an above-lukewarm IQ, are you hiring people with 0 experience to work as "Gaming Journalists"? Because these articles take 30 minutes and 5 google searches to write.
