Its monetization certainly continues to be debated within the community, but Diablo Immortal continues to have a successful launch, whether on IOS, Android or even PC. More and more players are wondering if it will be possible one day to enjoy it on Nintendo Switch, and why not in crossplay.
Unfortunately, new ports of Diablo Immortal do not seem to be considered by Blizzard .
On Switch, Diablo has left its mark
The Diablo license already exists on Switch of course. Diablo III and Diablo II Resurrected are playable on the Nintendo console. However, where the shoe pinches is that Diablo IV does not plan to port it to Switch.
Then maybe ?
On paper, Diablo Immortal could very well be exported to Nintendo Switch. In addition, the game already demonstrates that it is fully compatible with console controllers, and this is a feature that pleasantly surprised when it was released worldwide.
It has already happened in the near past that some successful mobile games have accessed a Switch port. This is the case of Arena of Valor, for example. This moba similar to League of Legends, better known as Honor of Kings, had its heyday in China (a little less in our countries).
During a recent interview, Rod Fergusson, the Game producer of the Diablo series, admitted that "never say never" when asked the question of portability on consoles... Before certifying that it was not in the studio's immediate plans at all. Clear ; Blizzard is not closing any doors, but let it be said, the port of Diablo Immortal on consoles is not planned anytime soon.
