Cyberpunk 2077 has come back strongly to the fore in recent weeks , in particular thanks to the great success of the animated series on Netflix from which it is inspired: Edgerunners. CD Projekt Red has also announced on Twitter that Sasha Gray will be part of the cast for the upcoming DLC "Phantom Liberty" , offering her voice to the head of a radio station, 89.7 GrowlFM. We don't really have any ideas for the moment on the musical genre that she will share with us, but we know that she will play Ash, a DJ who will take care of the programming.
Simple and efficient
The announcement is rather short but effective. We hear Ash promoting a new radio station on the streets of Night City called 89.7 GrowlFM and we can expect some pretty underground and hectic bangers from what it sounds like.
Now an ultra-known content creator on the internet and having succeeded in her retraining with a masterful hand, this is not the first time that Sasha Gray has brought her voice to the world of video games. You have certainly already heard her in Saints Row: The Third as well as in its extension Gat Out of Hell where she played the character of Viola DeWynter.
A (re)birth for Night City?
Despite an absolutely chaotic start to Cyberpunk 2077 , a failed launch riddled with bugs, lack of optimizations, and the feel of an incomplete game released in December 2020, it feels like we're witnessing the game's true renaissance.
Since the success of the Edgerunners series on Netflix, the number of players has continued to grow and reached record numbers . The game now seems truly finished thanks to numerous bugfixes and other patches, which fans have been waiting for when it was released and which they were cruelly deprived of. Life in Night City has never been so active and exciting.
It is therefore never too late to be part of the party and fight against cybernetic mercenaries while waiting for "Phantom Liberty" during 2023 and the return of the breathtaking Johnny Silverhand, still obviously embodied by Keanu Reeves. See ya, chooms!
