The famous Russian DJ Anton Zaslavski has just announced in a video posted on his Twitter account that he will perform at 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals.
In these Overwatch League playoffs, New York Excelsior and Vancouver Titans will compete against each other — as well as two other teams that will be known this week.
Zedd's involvement had been teased on the Overwatch League's Official Twitter account through an excerpt from the lyrics of the song "In The Middle", by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey.
The DJ was already known to be a fan of Overwatch. He used to share many gameplay videos, and even reached the Grand Master rank in competitive mode. Familiar with Overwatch events, Zedd had already been to BlizzCon 2018.
He will be the second music artist to perform at an Overwatch League event. DJ Khaled had indeed performed for the opening of the first season in 2018.
Audiences for both traditional sports TV are generally effective performance indicators of what is being broadcast. Blizzard commissioned data analysts Nielsen to measure the success of OWL Season 2, and the results speak for themselves.
