With Patch 5.21 dropping earlier today, parasols are now available in Final Fantasy XIV — so we've put together a guide to help you get your very own!
In order to obtain your parasol, you will need to take part in the new Ishgardian Restoration, exchanging the new scrips you receive.
Once unlocked, players will be able to access the new Ishgardian Restoration zone — the Diadem — in which you will be able to get new materials.
These materials can be used to craft exclusive Ishgardian Restoration recipes, after being turned in for scrips.
You will need 1,800 Ishgardian Restoration scrips in order to get your parasol. The exchange is made by talking to Enie in the Firmament (X: 12 Y:14) in Ishgard.
Two parasols are currently available:
- Parasol: Exchanged for Ishgardian Restoration Scrips
- Sky Blue Parasol: Kupo of Fortune reward
After getting your parasol, a new action will be unlocked in the "Extra" tab of your abilities page, allowing you to take your umbrella out!
This doesn't work in duties, though...
NOTE: These parasols are tradeable, meaning you can either farm them, or buy them from other players.
As of the time of writing, a Sky Blue Parasol was 90 million gil on the market on Ragnarok (EU), meaning there's certainly an opportunity to make some money if you feel like grinding! The standard parasol is selling for around 2 million gil, too!
