Before starting a Wizarding Challenge, there is wait time during which other players can join you. Unlike the Raids in Pokémon GO, this time is very short.

The Challenge

Once the Challenge is under way, you will land on this screen:

A lot of information is available here.

First of all, in the top-left of the screen we can see an icon that looks like an escape function. In the top-center, you will find the name of your character.

The figure in the top right is the number of enemies you need to beat to win the Challenge.

In the middle of the screen you can see the enemies you need to beat.

Finally, at the bottom, you will find locked boxes that represent your Spells, as well as a Focus gauge which allows you to launch your Spells. It is refilled by beating your enemies or using Potions.

Different types of enemies

  • Elite: mostly only appears in Chambers above Level 6. Elites boost the stats of some or all active enemies.
  • Common: normal version of enemies.
  • Formidable: slightly buffed in Defence and Proficiency Power.
  • Imposing: buffed Proficiency Power, Deficiency Defence, Defence and Defence Breach.
  • Dangerous: highly buffed in Proficiency Power, Deficiency Defence, Defence and Defence Breach.
  • Fierce: extremely buffed in Proficiency Power, Deficiency Defence, Defence and Defence Breach.

Advantages over enemies

Depending on the Profession you choose, you are stronger or weaker against different types of enemies.

  • Dark Forces: receive increased damage from Aurors, deal increased damage to Professors.
  • Oddities: receive increased damage from Professors, deal increased damage to Magizoologists.
  • Beasts: receive increased damage from Magizoologists, deal increased damage to Aurors.
  • Neutral: receive and deal neutral damage to all.
