The combat system

Unlike Pokémon GO, there is no dodging or tapping on the screen to fight. This combat system is different, and here we'll describe it step-by-step.

You will be faced with your opponent, as shown in the picture above.

Once there, you'll see an interface showing your character's life bar, as well as that of the enemy. In addition, there will be a 5-minute countdown to succeed in defeating the enemy.

Let's now look at the game mechanics.

Attacking

If you want to attack your opponent, you will have to aim at the time-limited circle shown on the creature's body. You do this by holding the wand at the bottom of the screen and aiming up and down until you 'lock-on' to the target.

Once this time has passed, you will have to recreate the figure shown on your screen by drawing it with your finger. Speed and accuracy will be crucial!

Once you have succeeded in doing so, your attack starts and you will inflict damage on your opponent.

Defending

To defend yourself from enemy attacks, nothing could be easier — you just have to draw the shape shown on your screen by tracing it with your finger. This is the Protego spell.

If you succeed, you will defend yourself — otherwise you will lose a higher amount of health points. Defending yourself does not allow you to completely negate the damage received.

Once you have defeated an opponent, you advance through the Wizarding Challenge to face another enemy — either the same as or different to the previous enemy.
