Harry Potter Wizards Unite: Registry, Classification

Harry Potter Wizards Unite: Registry, Classification

In the new mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, available on iOS and Android, the Registry is the equivalent of the Pokédex in Pokémon GO. Here you can find all the essential information you need to complete this magical sticker album.

While you have to complete your Pokédex with hundreds of captures in Pokémon GO, it makes sense that the system works differently in Harry Potter Wizards Unite.

Instead of generations of cute little monsters, there are categories of Magic Traces to be found in the world of Muggles!

Your objective? Get your hands on each of the Foundables scattered around the Wizarding World, and complete your Registry 100%.

If you have never seen a Foundable, its silhouette will be white in your Registry.

If you have seen one, but haven't completed it due to a lack of fragments, it will be a shade of the color of that section of the Registry.

Once it is fully recovered, its picture becomes clear.

There are four tabs in the Registry, as follows:

Exploration

This first tab is possibly the one on which you'll spend the most time. It includes all the Foundables you will encounter in the wild, and is composed of 10 categories.

This is called Classification. Each category is then divided into 2 or 3 album pages to be completed. You will soon be able to find the complete list of Foundables available on each page.

1. Care of Magical Creatures

  • Hagrid's Hut
  • Pumpkin Patch
  • Forbidden Forest

2. Dark Arts

  • Borgin & Burkes
  • Knockturn Alley
  • Fallen Ministry Atrium

3. Hogwarts School

  • DADA Classroom
  • Moving Staircases
  • Great Hall

4. Legends of Hogwarts

  • Room of Requirement I
  • Potions Classroom
  • Chess Chamber

5. Ministry of Magic

  • Ministry Atrium
  • Ministry Atrium II
  • Courtoom Ten

6. Magizoology

  • Newt's Case
  • Central Park
  • New York City Street

7. Magical Games and Sports

  • World Cup Grounds
  • Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch
  • Triwizard Maze

8. Mysterious Artifacts

  • Room of Requirement II
  • Dumbledore's Office
  • Room of Requirement III

9. Wonders of the Wizarding World

  • Room of Requirement IV
  • Hogwarts Gate
  • King's Cross Station

10. Oddities

  • Oddities I
  • Oddities II

Each category is associated with a color. When walking, instead of seeing Pokémon spawns, you will see magic traces of different colors indicating their category.

Challenges

This section is similar to Exploration, but has fewer sub-tabs.

Magic items are usually books or rare objects. They are available in Fortresses or Portkeys.

For the moment, there are seven categories of objects to be found:

1. Books — I, II & III

2. Joke Products — I, II & III

3. Magical Devices — I & II

4. Symbols of the Wizarding World — I & II

5. Wands of Dumbledore's Army — I & II

6. Wanted — Fenrir Greyback & Peter Pettigrew

7. Wanted — Dolores Umbridge, Draco Malfoy & Aragog

Mysteries

This third tab seems to concern particular Magic Traces, and is linked to the story of the game.

It is composed of three chapters at the moment, presumably with more to be added later.

Chapter 1

  • The Foundables Spell
  • Grim Fawley – Motives

Chapter 2

  • Grim Fawley – Background
  • Grim Fawley – Ministry Record

Chapter 3

  • Penelope Fawley – Background

Events

This is the tab where limited-time special events — currently known as Brilliant Events — organised by Niantic will be shown, similar to GO Fests and Community Days in Pokémon GO.

At the moment, there is only one entry: the Fantastic Flora and Fauna event held during the Beta. This was the first ever event run in the game, and involved you helping Hagrid with an issue in the Forbidden Forest.

Brilliant Events will see you complete tasks just as you would with the Daily Assignment, but will see you rewarded with Brilliant versions of Foundables and Runestones among others!

List of all known collectable items in HPWU

Divided into the categories Potions, Ingredients, Utility and Runestones, there are many collectible and consumable items in Harry Potter Wizards Unite. We explain the basics to understand your wizard's inventory.
