Final Fantasy VII Remake sees you assume command of four playable characters in the course of your Midgar adventure. Red XIII, despite being playable towards the end of the Midgar arc in the original title, appears only as a 'guest party member' — a decision made due to the fact he appears for a short space of time in Remake.
