During your walk in the cold country of the Galar region, you can find traces on the ground everywhere. Behind these footprints actually hides a long quest that will allow you to get your hands on three legendary creatures from the fifth generation. We show you how to unlock them in this Pokémon Sword and Shield guide.

Unlock the Three Swords of Justice quest

To unlock this mission, you will not necessarily have to look too much since Sonia will come to see you fairly quickly in the adventure that awaits you.

As you leave Freezington for the first time in the direction of the Frostpoint Field, you will come across Sonia who has come here to investigate. Here are footprints (the first in a long series!). Sonia then asks you to travel through the Crown Tundra to find all the footprints related to the three legendaries. First, examine the footprint there, so you will get 2% of the footprints needed to unlock Cobalion.

Now, let's see how to unlock the three legendaries in more detail. In this guide, we'll start with Virizion but there is no specific preference or order for solving this mission.

Virizion

To find Virizion, you'll need to find 50 Footprints. You will find them everywhere in the following areas: Giant’s Bed, Frostpoint Field and Old Cemetery

Once you have reached 100% of the footprints found, return to Sonia in the house in Freezington to show you the location of the legendary corresponding to the type of footprint.

For Virizion, it can be found at Giant’s Bed. All you have to do is catch it, good luck because it is level 70!
