Demon’s Souls: Primeval Demons

These hideous demons will only appear when the World Tendency is Black or Pure Black. They are considered bosses, but instead of giving you a hard time, these enemies shouldn’t give you any trouble at all. They allow you to quickly restore your World Tendency, and the colourless demon souls they drop can be used to buy spells or improve certain weapons. There’s only one per world and they don’t respawn, meaning that you can only kill them once per New Game+ game.

Primeval Demon Locations

  • Boletarian Place (1-3): On the path past the Fat Officials, you should hear and see it on the right by following the main route towards the Penetrator.
  • Stonefang Tunnel (2-1): In the area below the rotating elevator, after taking the one located under the rock throwers (not the one that leads to Ed).
  • Tower of Latria (3-2): In the Centipede Swamp, on a cliff that can only be reached by following the wooden boardwalk. It is guarded by two Giant Man Centipedes
  • Shrine of Storms (4-2): Behind the hidden passage in the stairwell after the first Reaper. A skeleton will be waiting for you at the end of the corridor, followed by a Crystal Lizard, and then the Primeval Demon
  • Swamp of Sorrow (5-2): In the village in the swamp, facing the Filthy Woman, in a hut.
Important Note: Killing a zone’s Black Phantom and Primeval Demon without using the archstone to travel between the two will put your world directly in Neutral White, though that isn’t easy to do at all.
