Hunter - Titan

Hunter - Genius

Gragas needs to CC his enemies to be effective and will often have to rush right into the heart of the battle with Body Slam. Aftershock will improve his survivability and give him a small bonus to his AOE. Weakness is a great fit for Gragas as you'll be CCing or slowing your target every time you come to gank, and you'll trigger it in every fight.

The Hunter set is a good choice for Gragas, as it gives him much-needed stats for the late game, such as HP, Tenacity, and CDR.

Skills

Here is the optimal Skill Order for Gragas. Max out his abilities as outlined in the image below, though make sure you rank up your ultimate whenever you can.

Note: when jungling, make sure you start with Drunken Rage.

Main Items

The items you buy will vary from game to game depending on the enemy team's composition. We've put together a list of the best items on Gragas, ranked by their effectiveness. Items in bold are essential purchases — items that you'll pick up in the vast majority of your games.

1. Frostfire Gauntlet

2. Winter's Approach

3. Sunfire Cape

4. Adaptive Helm

5. Randuin's Omen

Tips and Tricks

  • Gragas' ultimate, Explosive Cask, has a relatively slow animation. Your targets will sometimes just be able to dodge it without any issues. The most reliable way of landing this ability is to first hit your target with Body Slam, predict where they're going, then cast Gragas' ultimate from close range.
  • Your passive allows you to regenerate HP after using a spell. Don't be shy to make the most of this ability when moving through the jungle. If you've got the mana, use Drunken Rage between neutral camps.
