Weapon enhancement has been around for a long time in Epic Games' flagship game, but the functionality has never been so easy to access when you're in the middle of a game.
In Season 6, upgrading weapons can be done anywhere and anytime. All you need to do is select one of your weapons from your inventory menu and then upgrade it using the required components.
Each weapon base is then subdivided into recipes, which allow you to specialize your original weaponry, according to your preferences! The material cost will obviously vary depending on the rarity of the variant you want to craft.
Where can I find the components?
To improve your equipment you'll need Animal Bones, as well as Mechanical Parts. You will find the bones by hunting and killing the new beasts that inhabit the game island. Obviously, a pack of wolves will provide you with more resources than a common chicken. The easiest way to find wild animals is to venture into the forests and meadows, far from the hustle and bustle of the localities.
Mechanical Parts can be found inside chests, and players will drop any they've collected once eliminated. The best place to find them, though, is vehicles.
