Once you’ve built the Forge in Valheim you’ll be able to unlock several new craft recipes – including forging Bronze, as well as new weapons and armor. Here’s everything you need to know.
Unlock the Forge
To access the Forge you’ll need to beat Eikthyr, Valheim’s first boss.
You’ll need a Workbench and the following materials to build your Forge:
- 4 x Stone
- 4 x Coal
- 10 x Wood
- 6 x Copper
Upgrading the Forge
Adding each of the following items will add a level to your Forge, up to level seven.
Forge Cooler
- 25 x Fine Wood
- 10 x Copper
Anvils
- 5 x Wood
- 2 x Bronze
Smith's Anvil
- 5 x Wood
- 20 x Iron
Forge Toolrack
- 10 x Wood
- 15 x Iron
Forge Bellows
- 5 x Wood x5
- 5 x Deer Hide
- 4 x Chain
Grinding Wheel
- 25 x Wood
- 1 x Sharpening Stone (Requires Stonecutter)
