Close-quarters combat in Warzone Season 3 is an integral part of the battle royale to master if players want to score plenty of kills during a match. Thanks to the integration of Black Ops Cold War weaponry at the beginning of Season 1, there are a variety of weapons that are viable options when getting up close and personal with the opposition.

Season 3 saw Raven Software implement a wealth of changes in a bid to shake up the existing Warzone metagame and it has done, with all kinds of weapons being used to eliminate opponents in just a matter of seconds.

But what exactly are the best close-range weapons to be using?

Bullfrog

The Bullfrog submachine gun has often say by the wayside when it comes to the Warzone meta, but recent changes to the weapon arsenal have seen the SMG skyrocket in popularity.

Armed with a huge magazine as standard and a lethal time to kill when aiming at the head in close-quarters action, the Bullfrog is one of the strongest weapons to use in close ranges.

AK-47 (Black Ops Cold War)

Thanks to recent weapon balancing, the AK-47 assault rifle from Black Ops Cold War has skyrocketed in popularity thanks to its incredible damage output when hitting a target from the waist upwards.

Unlike the Bullfrog, the AK-47 boasts much stronger damage statistics when hitting the body of an opponent, meaning accuracy is less of a concern. The time to kill is also extremely fast, making it a popular secondary weapon alongside a sniper or marksman rifle.

FARA 83

Added as part of Season 2, the FARA 83 has only just started to make an impact on the Warzone metagame.

Armed with a fast fire rate and strong mobility levels, many players have opted to use this rifle in their respective loadouts complete with five attachments to improve its capabilities at closer distances.

The fast fire rate allows players to shred through armor at an incredible speed, making it very easy for players to finish off the kill with just a few well-placed bullets.
