To find the key, you will have to do the whole story in the Beneviento house first. The key is in the Beneviento's garden, which is located on the left side of the area after the Common Grave. After crossing the Suspension Bridge, take the first door on your right. If you go to the left, you will find another important item.
Once you have the key in your pocket, you can go back to the house of the violin maker, which is located in the West Zone of the village.
