In Monster Hunter Rise, some Old Messages hidden in the Lava Caverns can be very difficult to find compared to other areas. Follow our guide to make sure you don't get lost along the way.
Rewards
Collecting the ten Old Messages will only get you a few Kamura Points, and some furniture to decorate your room. If you're feeling up to it though, here's our guide!
Old Message 1
- After leaving the camp, follow the path then climb on the first stone building on your left to find the first Old Message in the area.
Old Message 2
- Climb to the top of the sakura tree in the middle of area 4. The Old Message is at the end of one of its branches.
Old Message 3
- Located between areas 7 and 9, halfway up a cliff. This Old Message is very easy to find.
Old Message 4
- In the underground part of the map, south of area 14, climb on the suspended pillar that has a circular ledge around it to get the Old Message.
Old message 5
- The next one is located in area 14. Watch out for the lava rain that falls from the ceiling. Next, you will have to look to the right and search for a small opening that you can access. The Old Message is hidden in there.
Old Message 6
- Located south of area 8, search for the pillar with shiny ore on top then climb the highest column next to it.
Old message 7
- For this one, you will have to go to the east of area 10 and use Jewel Lilies to reach the top, or you can just use the Wirebug to get around to the little gap on the left on the north of the 12th area. Stay close to the vines and look to your left, you should see a small light.
Old Message 8
- Head to the edge of area 6 to the northwest. The Old Message is hidden between rocks.
Old message 9
- Between areas 3 and 7, climb under the north face of the broken bridge in this area. The Old Message is waiting for you at the edge of a ledge.
Old message 10
- Between areas 2 and 4, you will find a hidden entrance for an underground secret area. Go inside the first corridor and once you reach the first room, look to your left to get the Old Message.
