Resident Evil Village is definitely a replayable game – but with New Game + you can experience the whole campaign again with your entire inventory in place. We’ve put together everything you need to know about it.

Discover the Secrets of the Village

It may happen that certain areas of the map are not fully visited from top to bottom, because the story of the game inspired us so much that we wanted to know the rest. Thanks to the New Game + it is possible to relive the experience to better understand facets of history or to visit the village much more in depth.

This one explains the events with the kidnapping of Rose and the different whims of each of the nobles who reign over this place. When you reload your game, the story and everything that previously surrounded you is completely reset except your inventory.

Complete the Challenges

Resident Evil Village offers a good range of challenges to overcome which gives CP as a reward. These points are very useful for purchasing in-game items as well as for our small personal library.

In addition, it is not with a single run that you will be able to meet all the challenges, especially the one that requires you to finish the game in 3 hours, so the New Game + is provided for this purpose. Also, some challenges are a bit more complicated than others, so a second chance (or more) is always a good idea.

Discover New Weapons

In the challenges store, you will be able to see that new weapons, never before seen in the game, will appear. Although you may have found new weapons during your Resident Evil Village adventure, be aware that the game has many more weapons in store than you think. Following the completion of the challenges of your first adventure, you will be able to invest CP in Chris' Lucky Weapons. The pistol and the shotgun are good, but nothing beats a good assault rifle or a submachine gun to knock down undead and werewolves.

A new weapon will allow you to have a different point of view from your first experience by offering weapons much more powerful than the one you have already been able to find in the game. This same shop will allow you to have assets which are of great qualities: unlimited ammunition. Which can be very useful in the higher difficulty levels of the game.

Taste all of the Duke's Cuisine

Whether it is Juicy Game, Quality Meat or even Finest Fish, you will be able to find them a second time, as well as all the fauna that roams the village. This is an excellent way to find all the pieces of meat and thus make all the dishes offered by the Duke to take advantage of all the bonuses.

If you're attempting to play on the Shadow Village difficulty setting, these permanent bonuses will be a boon and allow you to take hits that were previously punitive.

Play Mercenaries Mode

Once you have completed your very first game on Resident Evil Village, you will be able to purchase Mercenaries Mode from the CP Store. The mode is not very expensive (10CP) and you will be able to play it by going to the "Bonus" tab once you have purchased it from the special store.

Mercenaries Mode is separate from the main story. It's a small arcade mode that will require you to defeat as many enemies as possible within the time limit. You will have to buy the equipment and weapons you need from the Duke and then each round you can improve them to advance over the rounds.
