Great apes are popular opponents in the series, including in Monster Hunter Rise. Bishaten has feathers and loves to throw all kinds of dangerous fruits at the hunters. It also looks similar to Fungen from Kamura Village.

Fight against the Bishaten

Bishaten has a rather random fighting style: it loves throwing fruits. Some can stun, others can poison you, so it is difficult to anticipate exactly what it will do next. As always, avoid staying in front of it, you have to be ready to make a lateral dodge at any time. It also uses an Aerial Dash Attack by spinning into the air like a drill. Be careful if you're not using Ranged Weapons since it causes very heavy damage in close combat.

When Bishaten stands on its tail, it can pivot very quickly and attack in many ways that are not easy to dodge. It can be a big sweep of the area or fruit throwing. But by being aggressive, it is also an opportunity to inflict enough damage to its tail. It will fall to the ground while scattering many fruits to pick up around. Fruits can be used as projectiles, even if they are not very useful.

The Fruit Throwing attack is certainly the most annoying part of this fight. Bishaten's aim is really precise. Be especially careful if your life is low, using mega potions can get you out of a dangerous situation.

It often throws yellow (physical damage and stun) and purple (poisoning) fruits. Be careful when Bishaten stores several fruits in its tail, it will roll several times before hitting the ground and releasing a stunning or poisonous cloud, depending on the fruit used.

Concentrate your attacks on the tail and head to maximize your damage and have a maximum chance of knocking Bishaten to the ground.
