Hoof Puff is one of the four bosses called World Eaters that you will have to defeat during the main Biomutant quest. Your goal is to free the Tree of Life so that the world you live in is free from pollution and other radioactive mutations. For that, you will have to defeat the four World Eaters feeding on the Tree.
If the game is in an open world, the main storyline is rather linear. The choices you make will not affect the end goal described above. Here is a guide to easily beat Hoof Puff with your Mjut.
How to get the Mjut in Biomutant
The main quest will tell you: you must first help Noko find her Mjut in order to hope to be able to defeat the Hoof Puff. Entitled "The Lost Mjut", the mission will take you to a cave a few hundred meters away. Enter the cave and climb the wall behind the waterfall. You will have to face some enemies before rescuing the Mjut. Interact with it so that it follows you to Noko (you cannot climb on it yet).
You will then have to descend a little lower, at the Crossroads, to enter a ruined building. This being locked, you will have to go through the building opposite and take the stairs to access the yellow zip lines.
Upon entering the building, you will find a vending machine at the very bottom: complete the spinning puzzle to get a Bon-Bon Gummy. Complete the other light-up puzzle to unlock the door and get out of there. Now go back to Noko.
Your new objective will be to find the Mekamjut some half a mile from here. The latter is in the 5H sector and you will have to activate the electricity (follow the yellow wire) to release it.
Now that you have brought the Mekamjut and its saddle back to Noko, she will ask you to go to Mito. Located in Brightlight, it will give you a new mission: find the Glittermoth Gave. This cave is located at the top of a cliff: to access it, you will have to take a climbing path (yellow stains on the cliff). At the bottom of the cave, you will find a sanctuary and the Glittermoth nest. You will need to capture five with your net.
Again, return to Noko: take a fast trip for simplicity.
Once you have helped Noko, she will give you the Mjut and you will see that your objective has been updated towards the Hoof Puff in sector 5L.

The different phases of the Hoof Puff
During the first phase of theHoof Puff, you will have to use your Mjut and his grapple to grab poles. Wait until the creature is close to you to pull the pole and make it fall on it. When it's on the ground, you can also grab one of its teeth with your grapple to pull it out.
In the second phase, the monster will throw thorny feathers with its tail. Throw Glittermoths to create a diversion and remember to dodge the attacks. When the Hoof Puff has fun with the Glittermoths, use the opportunity to burst the red blisters on his body.
In the last phase, the Hoof Puff will vomit an acid bath that must be avoided at all costs. Again, try to distract him with Glittermoths and pop his blisters for maximum damage.
