Harry Potter Wizards Unite is finally out! Take on the role of a witch or wizard to save the Muggle world from The Calamity!
To do so, you must find magical traces (characters, creatures or other things emblematic to the saga) and return them to the wizarding world.
Follow our tips and guides to progress faster and not waste valuable resources!
Use energy wisely
Energy is THE number one resource in the game, since it allows you to cast spells.
These are useful for releasing Foundables, beating enemies in the wild or in Fortresses, or growing plants in Greenhouses.
You will quickly run out of energy if you don't have enough Inns around to collect food. Here are some tips:
- Make sure you have at least 30 Energy when you enter a Fortress. This advice is very important to follow because if you don't have enough energy to finish the Challenge, you will either have to give up (and lose the rewards) or pay 100 Gold to continue.
- Choose Blue, Green and Violet Inns that will give you dishes with more energy.
- Don't try to return all the Foundables you find in the magical world — play with finesse! During the first few days, you will quickly notice which are the most common or rarest Foundables in the game.
- Rarity often is synonymous with the number of fragments needed to fully complete the sticker in your Registry. So, try to keep your Energy aside in order to capture Albus Dumbledore if you meet him! (and avoid capturing all the Scourges you can find).
- Try to keep between 8 and 10 Energy with you at all times, just in case you come across a Foundable with a very rare (severe or urgent) threat level.
- Pay attention to one very important thing — Foundables already completed in your Register (full sticker) give you much less Category experience. It's essential to focus on Foundables that you have not already completed.
- Quickly become proficient in casting spells — this wil help you avoid wasting Energy. You can practice casting here.
Tips for gaining XP quickly
- Always use Baruffio's Brain Elixir when opening a Portkey, to benefit from double XP.
- Be sure to complete all your Daily Quests to maximize rewards.
- Also pay attention to SOS Assignments for even more XP.
- If you live in an area with a lot of Inns (and therefore a lot of Energy), don't hesitate to capture all the Foundables you can for more XP.
Advice on Resources and Potions
- Always try to stay under the storage limit for Ingredients. Save space to collect rare ingredients that may be on your way, or that you may receive as a reward. Otherwise, they will be lost.
- When you make a Potion, click on the teaspoon to access the Master Notes. This allows you to reduce the manufacturing time by 15%!
- Use the Gold Key to open the 2 km Portkeys (a bit like the infinite Incubator in Pokémon GO). You can use the Silver Keys on 5 km or 10 kn Portkeys.
