Greedent is a bruiser-type melee Defender in Pokémon Unite, available from the store for 8,000 Aeos Coins or 460 Aeos Gems.
Our guide helps you understand Greedent's moveset and choose the best abilities as you level up, as well as suggest the best Held Items and Battle Items to equip.
You'll start the battle as Skwovet, evolving into Greedent at Level 5.
Greedent: Item Choices
These are the items we recommend equipping on Mamoswine before you head into battle.
Be mindful that you can equip up to three Held Items and one Battle Item. All stats are based on items being Level 1, without having been upgraded.
Held Items
Buddy Barrier
Level 1: HP +20
Level 30: HP +600
When the Pokémon uses its Unite Move, that Pokémon and the nearby ally Pokémon with the lowest HP are each granted a shield equal to 20% of their max HP.
Muscle Band
Level 1: Attack +1 / Atk.Speed + 0%
Level 30: Attack +15 / Atk. Speed + 7.5%
Deal additional damage with basic attacks by 1%/2%/3% of the targets remaining HP.
Focus Band
Level 1: Defense +2 / Sp. Defense +0
Level 30: Defense +30 / Sp. Defense +30
While below 25% HP, recover HP each second for 3s by 8%/11%/14% of your missing HP. (100/90/80s cooldown)
Battle Item
Eject Button
Quickly moves your Pokémon in the designated direction.
You'll need to play Greedent like a bruiser, getting stuck into the battle rather than trying to manage the lane from distance. While its base damage is relatively low, this build will bring a surprising amount of knockouts.
Buddy Barrier is the perfect item when sticking close to your teammates, while Muscle Band will be your main offensive asset. Finally, the Focus Band is a must on any Pokémon aiming for tankiness.
As with most tanks, the Eject Button acts as both an escape and a gap closer to fleeing enemies.
Greedent: Starting Attack
Tackle
Leap to the designated area, dealing damage to enemies in the area of effect and decrease their movement speed for a short time. If this move is used while Covet is active, no area can be designated for the user to leap to. Instead, while the user is running, damage is dealt in an area to enemies in front of Greedent. If Greedent has any Oran berries stashed, consume all of them, reducing Tackle's cooldown for each berry consumed.
Quite simply, you're always going to want to start with the more offensive move of the two on offer. Tackle deals damage, as well as being a gap closer and debuff to the enemy.
Greedent: Best Moves
Stuff Cheeks
Deals damage to enemies in the area of effect and decrease their movement speed for a short time. If Greedent has any Oran berries stashed, consume all of them, reducing Belch's cooldown for each berry consumed.
Level 13: Increased damage
Belch
CD: 5 seconds
The caster deals damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect, and their movement speed is reduced for a short time.
At this time, if the caster's tail contains any berries, they are all consumed. The more arrays consumed, the shorter the recovery time for that capacity.
We've gone for a pair of moves that makes you a real danger, and hard to kill.
Use Tackle to close the gap to your enemy, then spam Belch. When your health drops low, use Stuff Cheeks to get you out of the bind.
Greedent excels on the extreme frontline in teamfights, but you'll need to avoid rushing in blind if you have no teammates to immediately follow up.
Greedent: Passive Ability
Cheek Pouch
When Greedent eats a berry, recover HP after receiving the effects of the berry. At the same time, Greedent stashes an Oran berry in its tail. Being hit by a single attack or combination of attacks will cause an Oran berry to drop from Greedent's tail. Berries stay on the ground for 10s.
If any ally or enemy eats an Oran Berry, they heal for 45 + 2% max HP (unless the enemy is Greedent). Greedent enemies that eat an Oran Berry heal for 45 + 5 x (Level -1) + 2% max HP
