Some materials in Final Fantasy XIV are harder to get than others and some can really fetch high prices on the market board. With Patch 6.05 the new expert recipes made their way into Eorzea and you'll need quite a lot of materials if you want to craft your new sets.
Most of the rare materials used in these recipes can be obtained from timed nodes that will only appear if you unlocked the specials tomes. These books can be exchanged to the splendor vendor in Radz-at-Han in exchange for tokens bought with White Scrips.
To gather these materials you will need to get your stats up to 2990 perception minimum.
Timed node spawn two times a day Eorza time. One Eorzean day is 70 min long, meaning you'll be able to gather these nodes every 35 real life minutes.
Double Edged Herb Timed Nodes in FFXIV
To gather the Double Edged Herb you will need to get to Ultima Thule as a Botanist between 10 to 12am/pm.
