Arcanine, the King of the Island
Arcanin is the boss that you will find during the main mission "The Island without a King" in which you will have to go to Spitfire Island . He will be quite a difficult boss if you are not ready.
First of all, you should know that the arena is not a simple arena like the two previous ones. It will be necessary to pay attention to the zones of magma in which you will not be able to go. Now let's move on to information about Arcanin.
Arcanine has three attacks, some of which have a variant. Pay close attention to where you are in the arena to avoid getting stuck in a small area.
First attack
Its first attack will be easy to dodge and will be similar to a Nitro-Charge or Extreme Speed attack. He will dash in a straight line in front of him. To dodge it, you just have to roll to the side.
Second attack
Arcanine will jump onto an area where you are standing creating a zone of fire on impact. A variant will arrive later in the fight which will leave an inflamed area at the point of impact. By going there, you will take damage so be careful. To dodge the attack, roll out of the target area.
Third attack
The third attack is the one that must be blocked. To do this, you have to throw pacifying bombs at him while the five fireballs are there. In case you don't remove them, he will make an attack on the whole arena and which will not be possible to dodge or with very precise timing. It's also the only way to stun him.
How to beat Arcanine?
To overcome this Pokémon, you will have to dodge its attacks and take advantage of the loading of the third to launch a maximum of bombs in order to destroy the flaming orbs which are above Arcanine. Once this is done, you will quickly have to switch to your Pokémon in order to launch one to take advantage of the Monarch's stun. Watch out, he recovers quickly. We also advise you to stay in the area where the surface is the largest in order to be able to dodge more easily.
Going back to combat, being a Fire and Rock type, it will be weak against these elements.
