As you progress through Final Fantasy XIV's story the third trial you will have to clear is The Final Day also known as the Endsinger and while the normal mode of this fight can be tricky, the Extreme version has been discribed as more of a Savage than an Extreme by Naoki Yoshida during its introduction. This is also the reason why this fight will drop two tokens instead of one.
FFXIV unlocking Meteion Endsinger Extreme
To unlock this trial you will need to head to Old Sharlayan and talk to the Wandering Minstrel located at X: 12.7 Y: 14.3. This is not really a quest as you will simply need to talk the npc.
Once that's done you will be able to enter the trial if you meet the following requirements:
- Play a level 90 class
- Reach 580 minimum item level
