The Administrative Commission detective enters Genshin Impact with version 2.8 and what we can say is that he is unique and that is what we are going to discover in this guide.

Heizou, a melee fighter with a catalyst

Heizou is the only new hero in update 2.8, but he won't leave players indifferent since he has a particularity that could open up new possibilities for future characters. Indeed, he fights hand-to-hand, however he does not use swords or spears, but rather a catalyst. With this data to take into account, he has an advantage that is not necessarily present with the others, it is the fact of benefiting from elemental damage directly without the need to give himself the element or to use a skill.

An advantage that he will be able to use fully since he is a hero with an Anemo Divine Eye , which means that he will have the possibility of creating reactions with almost all the other elements. But where he will deploy his greatest combination potential with the Pyro, Electro, Hydro and Cryoo attributes is with his burst which allows him to perform a strike as we could see in some manga in order to fire a bomb which will explode to deal Anemo area damage while pulling them in, but where it gets more interesting is that it can also deal bonus damage from whatever element the enemy is affected to.

His elemental skill is there to inflict massive damage in a single hit . It can charge up to benefit from more substantial damage thanks to the various Detection and Conviction buffs that you can receive. After seeing his elements, we can suspect that Heizou is an Anemo DPS and his constellations will go in this direction without forgetting the Paradoxical Practice talent which allows him to have Detection effects more easily.

However, it can also be played differently and serve as support for your other DPS although this is not specifically how you will play it. What may make you think of this second role is the fact that her Undeniable Reasoning talent which allows her to boost the elemental mastery of the other members of the group and if you play her with a full Shadow of the Green Huntress set, you will be able to thus taking advantage of the enemy's elemental resistance if you perform a scatter. Apart from that, Heizou can be useful in your exploration team since he has the same passive as Razor or Kazuha which reduces the consumption of stamina when you sprint.

To conclude, Heizou will be played as Main DPS in general in all your teams and he will be the one who will be present most of the time on the field.

To play alongside:

Bennett

Heizou can very well be played in the company of Bennett in a National Team version alongside Xiangling and Xingqiu.

Xingqiu

Heizou can allow a Hydro character like Xingqiu or Yelan to do more damage with their unleash while they are not on the ground since it will create distortion thus reducing enemies' Hydro resistance.

Fischl

Fischl is a very good element for a team based on electrocution in which the dispersion offered by an Anemo character will be a plus to increase your Electro or Hydro damage.

Of course, these characters are only examples and do not constitute all playable characters with Heizou but just a small representation of what you can do. Your imagination will allow you to create your own teams and test according to your preferences.
