Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today we are going to focus on Mickey's final quest.
Where to find the Secret Door?
Once you reach friendship level 10 with Mickey , you will unlock a new quest called "The Secret Door". The mouse will give you a Chest that you will have to open directly in your inventory: this will reveal a photo of a door with gems on it. A puzzle will also be available to locate the door in question:
"Turrets and towers you will behold therein: a doorway to everything that was and will be."
You will then understand that you have to go to the Castle of Dreams , behind the Esplanade, where all the Kingdom portraits are available.
- Go inside the Castle of Dreams and stay on the ground floor,
- Do not go straight but rather to the right of the room towards the bushes ,
- You will see that it is possible to pass between the shrubs and you will find a chest and a curtain,
- Interact with the curtain to reveal the secret door.
How to open the secret door with the gems?
With this quest, you will understand the interest of having kept a gem of each as we repeat in several of our guides. If you didn't keep them and preferred to sell them to make some money, that's okay! Here are the gems you will need to find to put on the door:
- Peridot (apple green gem): Tranquil Prairie and Enchanted Beach.
- Garnet (red gem): Prairie Tranquille and the Esplanade.
- Citrine (orange gem): Sunny Plateau and in the Bayou of Confidence.
- Aquamarine (sky blue gem): Enchanted Beach and in the Forest of Courage.
- Tourmaline (pink gem): Sunny Plateau and in the Frozen Heights.
Insert the gems into the door (in any order) in order to open it. You will then access a secret room where Mickey has kept all his memories. You can interact with the shiny books on the ground to find out what he has kept but especially with three storage chests to recover rare resources! At the far left of the room, you can pick up a remarkable book .
What to do with the remarkable book?
After picking up the book, place it in the back library; this will open another secret room with 3 chests inside containing:
- 10 Nightshards
- 2 Gold Bars + 5 Gold Nuggets

1 Emerald + 1 Sapphire + 1 Ruby + 1 Diamond
Note that the ruby and the sapphire are not yet part of the list of gems available in the game: keep them preciously.
