Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today, we are going to focus on the storage of your resources, whether in inventory or in chests.

How to increase your inventory?

At the beginning of your adventure, your backpack (personal inventory) will only have three rows of storage (21 spaces) which will fill up extremely quickly since there are tons of different resources to collect even in the two first areas of the village. Especially since the stacks of the same resource (apple for example) rarely rise above 50 items.

In order to expand your bag, you will first need to progress a bit through the main story and get the ability to expand your house. Once your house is renovated, you will see that you can then pay to expand your inventory:

  • Open inventory,
  • Click on the "+ Expand" : it will cost you 5000 Coins for the first extension (a 4th line is added)

The second expansion costs 25,000 coins so choose your priorities wisely!

Note that it is possible to enlarge the inventory three times in order to add three additional lines, i.e. 21 more boxes. And if you still lack space, you can use chests!

Use storage chests

The other way to store resources intelligently is to use chests. You have a basic one in your House which, too, can grow depending on the renovation of your home. But if the latter is not enough for you, know that it is possible to craft other chests (as many as you want!) and place them wherever you want, whether inside or outside. outside.

Do not hesitate to craft 1 Chest per type of resource (one for food for example, another for fish, one for seeds, one for gems, etc.). Especially since the recipe for the chest is rather simple:

  • 25 Softwood
  • 25 Peter
