Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today, we are going to focus on Remy and his restaurant in town.
First step: unlock Rémy
Before you can repair your village's Chez Rémy restaurant, you'll need to unlock Ratatouille 's iconic rat by fetching it from its kingdom. To do this, advance with Merlin in the story quest and choose the painting on the right in the Castle of Dreams. You can then start the mission "An important evening at the restaurant" for which you can find the guide below. This will require you to cook the ranch salad and the Ratatouille in particular.
Once Remy's kingdom quest is complete, you can have him move into your village. You will have to build his house for 2000 coins in order to access his friendship quests, which include the renovation of the restaurant.
Restaurant Renovation
To restore his restaurant, Remy will ask you for the following ingredients:
- 10 Oregano: herbs that you can pick up on the ground on the Esplanade or the Meadow,
- 15 Carrots: you can plant and harvest them. Find sachets at the Goofy stand or by eliminating the nocturnal thorns for example
- 15 Raspberries: easy to pick up from the bushes of the Esplanade and the Meadow,
- 25 Wheat: Buying seeds at the Goofy stand will be easier, then plant them.
Improvements to Chez Rémy restaurant
Basic Restaurant
At level 1 (basic), Remy's restaurant will allow you to cook but also to buy ingredients found nowhere else, such as milk, eggs, cheese and butter. As you progress through friendship quests with Remy, you will then unlock Peanut Butter and Shaved Ice .
- The interest of the Chez Rémy restaurant: above all, it allows you to serve dishes to customers who come to sit at the tables. The customers in question are the characters of your village and if you bring them the dish they want, it will greatly increase their friendship levels ! (especially if it's a 5 star recipe).
- Whenever you see a character at the restaurant, remember to try to cook their order: this is currently the best way to increase their friendship level.
- That's why it's important to upgrade the Restaurant: it will allow you to accommodate more customers at once !
First improvement
It costs 10,000 coins to expand Chez Remy. Interact with Scrooge's panel to do so. Visually, a floor will be added outside but inside, only the main room will be enlarged by offering two additional tables.
Second upgrade
It costs 25,000 coins to expand Chez Remy and is the final upgrade. Interact with Scrooge's panel to do so. Visually, a second floor will be added outside but inside, only the main room will be enlarged by offering a large additional table. In total, the restaurant allows 8 characters to come at a time, but it is rare for all 8 to be there at the same time.
