The Astral Eclipse event takes place from Wednesday, November 23 to Monday, November 28, 2022 on Pokémon GO. It notably allows you to add Lunala and Solgaleo to your Pokédex and to continue the special study of Rhi called A Cosmic Companion. Note that the world's first Ultra Chimera will land this Sunday, November 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Raids.
Obtain Cosmog and evolve it into Cosmoem
Before getting Solgaleo or Lunala, you will first need to get the little Cosmog through the A Cosmic Companion quest you are supposed to have in your special studies menu. Go forward until you get the Cosmog and you are asked to evolve it into Cosmoem. If you don't see the "Evolve" button, you need to restart your game and put it as a Buddy Pokémon.
Evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo or Lunala
Unfortunately for the moment, you only have one Cosmoem and can therefore only obtain one evolution of it. Rest assured, Niantic has indicated that other Cosmogs will be available later.
- Cosmoem evolves into Solgaleo thanks to 100 candies and only if you carry out the operation during the day (sun),

Cosmoem evolves into Lunala thanks to 100 candies and only if you perform the operation during night (moon),
Note that shiny versions of Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo and Lunala are not available. Similar to Cosmog, if you don't see the option to evolve Cosmoem, restart the game.
