How to teach?

Fire Emblem Three Houses will give you the choice between managing the courses manually, and letting the game take care of everything automatically. Automatic management will save you a lot of time, and may be more appropriate for novice players, but its performance will generally be lower than manual management. In case of manual management, many options and choices will be offered to you.

Teaching: You answer students' questions about their orientation, and you can give private lessons. Your activity points are particularly important here as they determine the number of actions you can perform.
Automatic instruction: If you have changed your mind and being a teacher is too much work.

Group tasks: You can assign several students to specific tasks, such as taking care of the stables. Each task offers different benefits, in addition to the relationship bonuses between students assigned to the same task, they will also earn points in related skills, such as horseback riding. Finally, you will also get gold from the school for exploiting your students well.

Objectives : You can instruct your students to focus on two particular areas in their studies and personal training.
Start the course: Once all other options have been exhausted, you can start your generalist courses for the whole class, which will increase some statistics.

At the end of the week, the progress of all students is reviewed with their individual results.

Orientation

Some students will consult you on the best direction to give them. For example, a frail character may ask to favour archery or magic over melee combat, or else: between choosing pure archery to become a sniper and a more versatile style that combines sword and bow. You are then free to choose. In some cases it is indeed a good idea to go in their direction, but in others, it is possible to discover hidden potential. It will also be necessary to take into account the composition of your army and what you need for combat.

Private lessons

With your activity points you can give private lessons to your students in a given statistic. The list of students indicates their strengths, weaknesses and what appears to be the objectives.

Byleth's statistics and his level of teacher will then be particularly important, but this will not be the only element taken into account. The student's motivation will determine the number of lessons you can give him/her and their results. After each session, you may take a different approach depending on the outcome, for example, reprimand, encourage or otherwise. If you choose the right option, his motivation will increase. The option to choose depends mainly on the character of the student in question. As is often the case in this game, you will need to get to know your students to take the best approach individually.
