Borderlands 3 is innovative compared to its predecessor in several areas. The one we are interested in here is called: Crew Challenges. The members of your ship, the Sanctuary 3, will challenge you with various tasks. The tasks in question are to be performed on all areas of the game.

Crew Challenges

As we explained in the introduction, you can perform crew challenges in each of the game's zones. These challenges bring experience, erdium and money. So it is important to realize them. In order for you to better understand what is happening, we will illustrate our point.

To reach the window that is captured below on the left, open your map and go to the Challenges tab. You can then see what you need to find on the map. The various elements of crew challenges are often well hidden and are only reported on your map once you have passed very close to them. They then take the form of a green diamond with an icon inside as on the right screen (this is an example, there are various icons depending on the type of challenges).

A challenge not validated

Once the crew challenges are completed, they will be marked as validated and will appear greyed out on your map. To find your way through the crew challenges of an area, refer to the list as shown on the screen below on the right.

There are many types of crew challenges:

  • Typhoon Logs and Dead Drops
  • Dead Claptraps
  • Legendary hunts
  • Crimson Radio Broadcasts (Moxxi)
  • Stealing the target (Ellie)
  • Zer0 targets

You will soon be able to find on the site, a guide for each type of crew challenge in each of the game's planets. We start right away with the most interesting of them, the Typhon Logs and hiding places:
