Many of us were waiting for something new to happen with the deployment of update 11.50 in Fortnite. Unfortunately this hasn't been the case, and we'll have to wait a few more days. However, the patch did contain a few files with a lot of information about what's coming next. Dataminers have noted the presence of solid gold props to come — which will be located in the center of the map, on the landmark called Eye Land.
In the above capture published by the leaker FortTory, we can see the transformation of props at an advanced stage. The first observation is that they will be totally indestructible.
The transformation into gold will probably be gradual until the launch of Season 2 — although it isn't known at the time of writing whether the metamorphosis is related to a fundamental plot of the game.
The theories are numerous, and in most cases E.G.O.'s name comes up a lot. This faction with obscure motivations — a Nemesis of the basic characters of Chapter 2 — has been at the center of this season's plots. This may well be one of their misdeeds. On the golden toilet, we may even find a mysterious abandoned file...
It remains to be seen in the coming weeks whether these details are linked to a full event or not. Finally, another solid gold prop has appeared earlier this season: the mythical golden fish. Virtually impossible to catch, it's capable of killing a player in a single shot if successfully thrown at an opponent.
