Hidden message 'Noah' may be linked to Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2

It's been right under our noses for a while now — four letters spelling N-O-A-H that could impact Chapter 2, Season 2 of Fortnite. We don't yet know what they refer to, but here's a recap of the most popular theories!

Hidden message 'Noah' may be linked to Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2

We've all watched a movie or read a book in which the hero, lost on a desert island, traces a giant "SOS" in the sand in the hope of being seen by an airplane.

Well, that seems to have given Epic Games an idea, with the developer hiding a similar message on Apollo.

If you climb the hill northwest of Holly Hedges, you'll be able to see the four letters (N-O-A-H) formed by a road, wooden fences, hedges and a house.

The first to notice this clue was Reddit user jtlambert.

A storm to start Season 2?

This mysterious clue has appeared less than a week from the deployment of Chapter 2, Season 2 — although it's not yet known if there will be a live event to kick things off.

The most striking theory about these four letters goes back to the story of Noah's Ark.

To save life on Earth, Noah was tasked with building a huge ship (or ark) to survive a flood that was to befall the planet. What does this have to do with Chapter 2 of Fortnite, you ask?

The theme of water has been central since the beginning of the season. It's entirely plausible that the end of the season event could be a storm or a flood hitting Apollo Island.

An echo of the beginning of Season 1?

Beware — these hidden letters, which have been under our noses for some time now, are a nod to the beginning of Season 1.

An event entitled "The End", which concluded Season 10 with a monumental cataclysm, can also be interpreted as a kind of flood.

It could also be that these letters are attached to a completely different intention — one without affecting gameplay — such as a tribute to one of the developers.

One thing is for sure — these letters were intentionally planted by Epic Games.
