Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 has begun today. Starting at 1:00 am (PT), a maintenance for update 12.0 has been deployed. The information comes from the Fortnite Status account, which delivers real-time information on the servers status.
Maintenance for the deployment of update 12.0 is complete. The servers are available and you can start playing as soon as the patch installation is finished.
Epic also added that starting in Season 2, the size of the patches will be much larger than at the beginning of Chapter 2. This is good news for a large part of the community, which has been denouncing light patches and a lack of new content over the past few months. On the other hand, this could mean extended maintenance periods.
Fortnite hasn't yet released the plot for the upcoming season or its affiliated event.
