Valorant: In-game screenshots

IGN is responsible for Valorant — previously known as Project A — leaks after they accidentally revealed exclusive screenshots. It happened 24 hours before the end of the embargo (March 2). We can assume that these images were taken from a journalist's test.

Several interesting points can be noted through these screenshots. For example, we discover at least five new abilities that we didn't know about until now:

  • On the third and fourth screen a blue/green area on the ground that perhaps suggests ice.
  • On the fifth screen, a bomb seems to fall on the left side of the screen while we can see on one of the accesses on the right side controlled by a "vortex" that we've already seen.
  • On the eighth screen, projectiles or lasers seem to come from the sky to fall on a particular area, highlighted by a red marker on the ground.
  • On the third screen, the player to the right of the picture has probably just shot a sniper (it's the bullet that seems to leave a red trail) from a wall created with a skill.
  • On the fifth image, the character with the hat in the bottom left corner of the screen (Cypher) seems to have laid a mine or a claymore since we can see a white laser between the wall and the box in the center of the image. It's probably one his abilities, since he's a trap expert.

Images also confirm us the presence of the heavy machine gun only seen in the kill feed before. Each character also seems to have a different knife style/variant.
