Update 12.10, the first content patch for Fortnite's Chapter 2 Season 2 has released a number of notable changes. In addition to various bug fixes on several platforms, there are new items and weapons.
New Item
Proximity mines
Fortnite update 12.10 has implemented a new explosive item: the proximity mine. It can be placed on the floor, wall or ceiling and triggers when an opponent passes through its activation area.
New features
- Llamas are back. Opening them will bring 350 of each material, a full magazine of each type of ammunition, and two healing items.
- The Battle Royale's locker is now available in "Save the World" mode.
- Cones from the Decoys no longer generate materials.
- "Sprint" option is now active by default for all players.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug that caused the experience gained through XP coins not to appear in the progression.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented the mini map from closing.
- Fixed a bug that prevented some players located too close to the weak points of the materials to efficiently collect resources.
- Fixed a bug on split screens that sometimes caused player 1 to interrupt actions of player 2.
- Fixed a bug with the YONDER cosmetic.
- Fixed a bug that prevented to unlock the glider variant for Brutus, after completion of the final challenge.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the ally indicator from being displayed in Team Rumble mode, and that actually made enemies and friends get confused.

The deployment of update 12.10 has enabled dataminers around the world to collect new cosmetic files, which will be released in the coming weeks in Fortnite.
