Fortnite: Remote Explosives have been nerfed

Considered to be too powerful in the current meta, C4 has suffered a heavy nerf. It will now be harder to find and will only be picked up one by one.

Fortnite: Remote Explosives have been nerfed

All the professional players had been complaining about it since the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2. The Remote Explosives — more commonly known as C4 — made it too easy to kill an opponent even hiding between four walls. Epic Games has decided to take the bull by the horns with two significant nerfs in Patch 12.20. The first one was implemented directly in the update, while the second one arrived on Thursday, only for Arena or competitive matches.

Nerfs on Remote Explosives

Remote Explosives

Drops one at a time → stacks of three before

Decrease in drop rate:

• Supply Drops: 0.4 → 0.2

• Floor Loot & Chests: 0.3 → 0.15

C4 remains playable, but it will be much rarer — especially at the end of a game. If you aren't a fan of competitive games don't panic, these nerfs aren't implemented in regular matches.

The start of the season is going pretty well. Epic Games seems to be better able to provide fresh content more regularly, and this radical nerf indicates that the publisher is listening to its community.
